Why would anyone want to listen to what I have to say?
Hey,
So you may be reading and think to yourself, why would anyone want to listen to what I (Kenners) have to say? Well, that’s a great question!
I don’t have a degree in psychology, I graduated from York with a major in History. I’m not an expert in anything, although I do have quite an extensive background in real estate but I don’t think any of that matters. What I do have is an odd obsession with learning, not necessarily books or courses, but I do my absolute hardest to learn from every experience I have and I try to learn from the experiences of the people around me. I spend a ridiculous amount of time going through situations in my head to see what I can learn from them, what the results were and what the results could be. I truly believe that we never lose, we only learn, and if you can’t find a lesson, you’re not looking hard enough, and that is why this blog exists. The whole purpose of this site, the reason I decided to create it, is so that I can give myself an opportunity to share what I’ve learned and continue to learn and although they may not be the perfect solutions, they are helpful in at least providing a perspective that’s different from yours.
Another factor to consider is that I’m, most likely, outside your close circle of confidants. Why does that matter? Well, often, not always, but often, our close knit groups have similar experiences and beliefs as we do, which means your perspectives are often already aligned.
All of these reasons are why one WOULD ask me a question or my perspective on an issue or problem.
Why should anyone listen to my advice or perspective? Well I believe that we typically ask for other people’s opinions, not to get an answer, but to see if we’ve missed something when trying to find our own solutions. So my answers and opinions and the advice I give isn’t meant to be the end all and be all, but rather a part of the eventual solution that you will come up with, or not. And that is why, if you are trying to figure something out you should ask my (and others) perspective. You may not use anything I say to help you, but at least it gives you the chance to see a solution to your problem from a different set of eyes before you decide.
So gotta question? need advice? Go here and ask it and maybe I can help!
I hope that helps!
Kenners!
